Head Coach - Jess
Master Level NCSSE: NCSSE levels 1-4, CRB checked Founder of Supernova Cheer, Jess has been cheering for six years with five different squads: Kent Cheer, the Mavericks, Reading Superstars, Unity Jade and now Supernova. Although she has coached only for four of these years, this experience has included coaching several of the Kent Cheer university squads, including being Head Coach of their Game Day & Performance Squad, the Falconettes; and also coaching cheerleading in schools to children aged 11 upwards.
Being a tutor and Artistic Director of the Wycombe Steel Orchestra, Jess has worked with children and had an unofficial teacher status since the age of 14 and so is no stranger to coaching! Starting a squad in her home town has always been something Jess has hoped to achieve and Supernova was born to realise that dream!
Coach - Siân
Siân has been cheering for five years, originally with Cheer Force Seniors (level three , all girl) then Reading Superstars Supreme (level three, co-ed) and now with Supernova.She is particularly interested in stunt and jumps training. Siân has competed at a variety of competitions across the country including Future Cheer Nationals, ICC Nationals and BCA Nationals.
Coach - Sophie
Qualified in First aid
Sophie, 19, has been cheering for about three years, and been doing gymnastics for around 10 in total.
She was also captain and helped coach a cheerleading team in France called Storm. Sophie also currently helps out at Cheerleading at Chalfonts Community College and ran a school drama and dance group at school.
