Supernova
Supernova is a cheerleading programme that was initially established in September 2012 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, UK.
Originally starting as one squad, Supernova has expanded to having multiple different teams in different locations and still continues to grow! The programme focuses on learning routines to compete at Regional, National and International Competitions throughout the year.
We don't just focus on training and competing at competitions, but we aim to build a close family unit. Building a team that works together and trusts each other is of the upmost importance!
Cheerleading
Cheerleading can be best described as a combination of dance, stunt, jumps, chants and gymnastics merged together to create routines. It is fast becoming a popular sport in the UK and there is no better time to start than now!
It requires strength, dexerity but most importantly, dedication!
Supernova aims to safely promote this unique sport and to help all people interested to get fit and stay healthy as well as helping them to build on their self-confidence by teaching them new skills, creating new opportunities, encouraging them to reach their potentional and making new friends. But most importantly, we aim to have FUN!
Family Ethos
We are proud of our athletes and coaches and the family environment they have created with each of our squads. We recognise that although it's important to create structure and to always learn and improve, mental wellbeing is just as, if not, more important.
Everyone who has walked through our doors has felt incredibly welcomed and our athletes have made lifelong friends - as well as our coaches!!
Join us!
We welcome EVERYONE, guys and girls from all backgrounds. We have squads that cater from ages 3 all the way through to adult!
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! You can join whether or not you have cheered before! Although it is a bonus, everything will be taught by experienced, qualified, insured coaches from scratch so even complete beginners can join in. You do not have to be flexible and it is NEVER too late to start! All we ask is that you are enthusiastic and willing to learn :)
We offer FULL all-star cheerleading to athletes aged 5 upwards, those under join our development squad as an introduction to cheer and to reduce any potential injury.
All of our squads are voluntary-led, non-profit squads, and most of the charged fee will go solely towards venue hire and competition fees and cheering with us is completely FREE to try!
